Near-end of year (read: post xmas) is also a time for detoxing, considering how many of us have sinfully and indulgently savoured one too many decadent crusines and treats (and suppers; this is getting too depressing). Also, don't forget the high/ large/ enormous/ unbelievable (you catch the drift...) alcohol consumption! Horrible! So come on everybody, let's get healthy together for 2007.

The Holiday:
An awfully heartwrenching movie based on an unrealistically realistic storyline; not everyone starts off happyhappy people with the perfect partner and the perfect life. This, is the story for the people in love (or not) who are sad, and tied down by the many nonsensical things 'love' makes us do. Things that we often find ourselves questioning the validity of. Absolutely loved how Diaz's Amanda cannot cry but instead feels some sort of heart pangs when she faces relationship problems - I personally know how these heart pangs feel like, and I'm sure many reading know this painful though highly intangible feeling. Awesome movie, highly relateable (sp?); (paraphrased) We love the wrong person, and every single time that person does something awful we just tell ourselves it's O.K., that it is expected of this person. However, when this same person does something (unanticipated and) nice, we fall in love with this person because we are feeding our own desire to see change in him/ her - we stupidly believe that people (especially nasty ones) can, and will, change. But of course we don't realise that no, of course they won't. My entire love life can be summed up by The Holiday - loving the wrong person, unrequited love, holding on for all the wrong reasons, refusing to take the leap when I really should - except, except in my version of The Holiday, I need not to cry, but to not cry to realise what true love is/ can be.
And now, all I need to do is to forget how much fun I have with you, because fun alone cannot sustain this toxic relationship.

So the past weekend was full of laughter and joy (albeit lined with tears), but nevermind that. Wed was an impromtu dinnerdate with Cel, and catching up at Thai Express was prettyawesome.
Thurs Choo and me caught Happy Feet, and I absolutely enjoyed myself! Couldn't stop laughing, and we were probably the only 2 goons LOL (read: laughing out loud) in the cinema. Hey? It was funny! So, so, so cute! Everyone should def catch it if you haven't already. Before the movie, Choo had to restrain me from buying toomanyshoes, and I ended up with a mere 2 pairs after browsing like 10mins in vnc. :P And of course, I got me a cute pair of tailored shorts! Dinner was Fish&Co. (I don't know why I still bother after all the awesome huge servings of effin' fresh seafood in Tazzy!), and the Glass House ambience was pretty awesome man - there were Xmas lights and a live band (sucked, but nonetheless!) in the house. Then met Mom at PS to get my new cam (an Olympus 720! 7.1 megapixels! Shock AND waterproof! No more worries when champers spill! ;)). And and, I have to give myself credit but I swear I'm such a good friend, and although everyoneofyouguys say I spoil ahem* too much, I think I spoil you guys too! - Cel, I let you dump rubbish in my new Guess? bag and Jacchoo I wore your heels for you when you were in toomuchpain! Hurhurhur. Loves you guys! Anyways, I'm getting a bit tired of typing...so Fri night was happenings at MoS with Choo and her friends, Abel Vic and Benny, Da Du and their friends came along too! Happenings! But why so many CPs?!?!? Seriously! But ya..pictures!
Yes, life is great. Couldn't be better with BIP (bananas in pj's!).And Sat I braved a hangover to meet Cel for some taitai* indulgence at ViVo City (very happening, may I add. With Boost too!); dimsum @ Crystal Jade Inn (very, very nice place! ATAS!) with THE best mango pudding, followed by some very costly retail therapy (I needed it k...my life's a mess). Yep! And then a much-needed (too) pedicure. Sucks though, 2/ 5 for TheFaceShop's pedi services! Boo! I could've done a better job painting my own nails!

Sun met M and Shan, and Shan presented me with a cute daisy! So sweet! I love flowers, they def brighten up any day! :) Shan was too scared, so only me and M ended up watching Saw III - absolutely GROSS, very very fucking gory and all. I was coughing a bit cos I was feeling so nauseous man! Oh, and the ticketcounterlady (TCL) was so funny! We were trying to coerce Shan to watch Saw, but she was insistent she wasn't going to. Then the TCL said, "Are you 21?"
Me: "Yes."
TCL: (pointing to Shan) "Her?"
Me: "Yes, we're all 21."
Shan is refusing very loudly, and the TCL asks, "Does she not want to watch it?"
Me: "Uhm, ya. She's a bit scared."
TCL: "Ok. Then I suggest she doesn't watch it."
Me: "Hmmm. Why?"
TCL: matter-of-factly* "I scared she collapse."
HAHAHAHAHAHA. What the fuck!? But apparently when Saw III opened in the US/ UK, people actually did faint at the premiere! That's hilarious man! Well, I did feel a bit faint but not to the extend I think I would actually faint you know. I mean..duh, it's a movie! Just chill, peace the fuck out! But yeah, there you go - my first R21 movie and it's not like rated 21 because of sex but gore. :D
I wonder myself how the hell we managed dinner (Punggol Nasi Lemak!) and dessert (Selegie tua huay!) after that bloodfest of a movie man. But dinner was good, missed my nasilemak much! Of course, my night was cut short because I was about to get killed. But yeah..a bad night in the end, and I managed only 2 hours of sleep the whole night even though my eyes were a-killing...
