it wasn't intentional; my first book review.
Such is Sexiness The Sound of Windows expanding and contracting
i've been reading a lot of my set texts this sem, mainly because i'm doing a subj "popular fiction", and the books are all relatively easy-to-read as compared to the Henry James, Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, Shakespeare (yadda yadda, you get the idea - hardcore classic lit stuff, i find it hard to even complete the opening paragraphs!) 'works' i had to decipher last year.
stayed up til 3 to finish Agatha Christie's
A Murder is Announced,
and it wasn't intentional i swear!
was on the phone with mom til like 12.30, and i was much worn out already,
but cos i needed to finish the book by tues' lect, i decided, why not read another chapter or so, cos i wasn't even halfway done.
it was intense! the middle of the book!
it was, well, quite
gripping -
i
simply had to find out who the murder(ess) was!
my eyes flew across the pages and when it came to chapter 'the truth', i couldn't believe me eyes!
what a
twist!
this book brings a whole new meaning to, "your worst enemy is yourself"!
i really wasn't expecting much out of Christie cos hweng didn't look too impressed when she saw me buying the book heh.
it turned out to be a fabulous light read, though its not exactly the thinnest book around.
worth a read if ure into dectective fiction and/ or have the time!
//edit.
after all that i've said about him,
he had nothing but
praise for me.
am i feeling bad (about my past comments)?
of course - i'm only human.
