okay, how many of you know what the word cosmopolitan really means?
(if all of you, then sorry, my bad for assuming ignorance such as my own.)
anyhoos, who knew that hardwork can be interesting too?
came across this whilst doing research for my Novel & Film essay:

"..."Kosmopolites" [Greek for "I am cosmopolitan"], meaning without country, society, or place..."

no wonder they say (modern) city people are cosmopolitan;
you can fly to wherever you want, whenever you want.
be in 2 places/ countries in one day.
moving around so much because of education/ work/ whatever.
everyone's moving,
everyone wants to move.
no one stays in one place anymore.
where is Home, really?
you say convenience i say sad, sad, alienation of Today.
sorry, i think the bleak, dark nature of film noir is getting to me!

on the same note, this is particularly apt:

Who made up all the rules
We follow them like fools
